Introduction

Created on June 26, 2010, GNAE (Réseau Mondial des Élites Africaines) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with a diplomatic, humanitarian, and sustainable development focus, enjoying extraterritorial status. Its organizational profile has been validated by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and it is registered in the United Nations system (DESA Civil Society System) that governs non-governmental organizations, in accordance with the UN's structural and organizational model.
GNAE is also listed on the official website of the DESA.
The NGO GNAE benefits from several cooperation agreements and partnerships with institutions, organizations, and private and public partners, as well as national and international bodies. Some of these have headquarters agreements in accordance with international conventions and treaties with signatory countries, such as the 1956 Hague Convention on the Legal Status of Non-Governmental Organizations, the Vienna Conventions of April 18, 1961, and April 24, 1964, on diplomatic and consular relations, as well as the 1945 and 1948 treaties on respect for human rights, humanitarian intervention, and the protection of life in the event of conflicts or disasters. Furthermore, the 1949 treaty establishes rules for the protection of life without distinction, thus forming the basis of international humanitarian law.

This special status allows GNAE to maintain diplomatic and humanitarian cooperation relations with these signatory states, if they so wish. This facilitates GNAE's implementation of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in their countries in order to improve the quality of life of their local populations.

Our Vision: “To make GNAE in Africa and around the world a center of excellence in the service of diplomacy, the economy, society, and sustainable development.”
